2018 User Satisfaction on ITSC Services

To keep improving the overall quality of ITSC services, we conducted the annual IT Services Satisfaction Survey at end of April 2018 for both students and staff. Like previous years, we have received active participation and a total of 1524 students and 414 staff responded to the survey.

In the survey for students, it covered 7 areas: 

  • General Support and IT Training
  • Productivity and Collaboration
  • Communications
  • Network and Connectivity
  • Cybersecurity
  • Support for Teaching & Learning
  • Support for Academic Research


For staff, in addition to areas covered in student’s survey, it also included:

  • Software and Applications
  • Infrastructure Services
  • Classroom Support Facilities 

In general, user satisfaction rating and comments gathered were positive.  Overall satisfaction with the computing environment at HKUST stands at 91% for staff and 85% for students.
