User Satisfaction Survey on ITSC Services

THERESA LO, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (SERVICES AND ADMINISTRATION)

This has definitely been an exceptional year with unexpected incidents of social unrests and the epidemic. In the past months, in order to cater new University and user needs, ITSC had to face new challenges in launching IT services and changes within a very short period of time.

In early May, we have conducted the annual user satisfaction survey to solicit feedbacks from staff and students on various ITSC services. This year, we received an active participation of 1186 users (857 students and 329 staff). We are so happy to see the overall user satisfaction rating that has once again reached a record high this year: 94% of staff respondents and 92% of student respondents rated satisfaction at 5 or above (i.e. from slightly agree to strongly agree) (93% of staff respondents and 90% of student respondents in 2019). Only about 0.3% staff and 3% of students rated at 3 or below (i.e. from slightly disagree to strongly disagree). This is indeed a very encouraging result to us and rewarding for the colleagues working late nights and weekends.

The following table shows the overall satisfaction rate for both Staff and Student this year:

This year, we have received 2724 comments. Please rest assured that each comment received has been reviewed by our colleagues responsible in the area. From your comments, we have identified a number of areas of improvements, some of which are also covered in other articles of this publication. Once again, thank you to those who participated in the survey and provided us with your valuable feedback.

Please continue to let us know your comments and suggestions on our IT Services by email to CCLISTEN@ust.hk.

Congratulations to our three 2020 survey lucky draw winners!
